WCCN 35th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
2019 marks the 35th Anniversary of Working Capital for Community Needs (WCCN) fulfilling its mission of empowering the working poor in Latin America. While the organization has changed over the years, its core mission of people helping people shines true today.
We hosted an evening of friendship, stories, music, food and fun at the beautiful Lake Windsor Country Club on June 22nd as we celebrated WCCN and all of the people who have contributed to its mission over the years. The night included live music from Madison artist Angela Puerta Band, a delicious dinner, a silent auction, service awards and a keynote speaker. Our featured speaker was Veronica Herrera, the CEO of MiCredito and President of the Nicaraguan Microfinance Association, who informed us on the conflict taking place today in that country. We also had speeches from WCCN Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Tony Kroll, Ayan Omar, and WCCN Executive Director Will Harris!
